John has been County Councillor for Crickhowell and the Vale of Grwyney since 2002. A former senior lecturer, John and wife Margaret and run a successful organic farm and applejuice business just outside Crickhowell. John has two children; a son David and daughter Jenny. John is a Governor of both Crickhowell Primary and High schools, and a trustee of a number of local trusts, also drives for the local Dial-a-Ride. John has been chair of the Breconshire Shire Committee and the Planning Committee and is a previous member of the Brecon Beacons National Park Authority. John is now presently the leader of the Liberal Democrat Group on the Council and is chair of the Principal Scrutiny Committee.
