Corus News Another Blow For Wales - Williams

Commenting on Corus's announcement that of 3.500 redundancies across Europe, 1,100 will be in Wales, Liberal Democrat Shadow Secretary of State for Wales Roger Williams MP said:

"This is another blow for the Welsh economy at what is a tough time.

"The fact that nearly a third of the European job losses are in Wales demonstrates just how important Corus is to the Welsh economy.

"Manufacturing has been decimated in Wales, and we must do all we can to support industry in Wales through these difficult times."
